About Farflung
Knowing a country's capital is useful in Farflung, but knowing the less obvious facts can take you much further. This daily geography game gives you five clues and an interactive world map filled with 195 countries. Your job is to find a country that fits each clue, drop a pin on it, and build up as much travel distance as possible.
Pick Your Countries Carefully
The prompts cover all sorts of geographical details. One round might ask for a country that speaks a particular language, while another could focus on borders or capital cities. Some clues have several correct answers, so picking the first country that comes to mind isn't always the best move.
Farflung rewards unusual answers. A common choice earns 40 km, while uncommon and rare picks bring 55 km and 70 km. Elusive countries are worth 85 km, and the hardest-to-guess Farflung answers earn the full 100 km. Choose a country that doesn't fit the clue, though, and you get nothing for that round. With five prompts, a perfect expedition reaches 500 km.
Find Your Way Around the Map
You can explore the map by zooming in, moving around, or searching for a country by name. Once you find your choice, place a pin and drop it to lock in your answer. In Classic mode, you have 60 seconds for each prompt, which makes tricky clues feel like a race against the clock. Wander mode removes the timer if you'd rather think things through.
There's also an untimed practice round for learning the game, plus an Unlimited Edition for anyone who doesn't want to wait for the next daily challenge.
Five Clues, A New Journey
The Daily Expedition uses the same five prompts for everyone and resets at midnight UTC. After finishing, you can review the answers, see how rare your choices were, and check the distance earned in each round. Farflung makes geography feel less like memorizing a textbook and more like hunting for that one country you nearly forgot about.
