About Poople
Four Letters at a Time
Poople takes the familiar idea of a word ladder and gives it a ridiculous destination: POOP. Each day begins with a different four-letter word, and everyone gets the same starting word. Your job is to work from that word to POOP by changing just one letter at a time.
You can't shuffle the letters around or replace several letters in one move. Every word you enter has to be a real four-letter word accepted by the game, so finding a useful stepping stone isn't always as easy as it first looks.
Finding the Shortest Route
Suppose the puzzle starts with DUST. You might go from DUST to LUST, then LOST, LOOT, LOOP, and finally POOP. Each move changes only one letter, keeping the chain connected from beginning to end.
The interesting part comes after you've solved it. Poople shows the shortest number of moves needed for that day's puzzle. That's your par, so a solution that works isn't necessarily the best one. Finding a shorter route means spotting the right words instead of taking convenient detours.
Come Back Tomorrow
The puzzle resets every 24 hours with a new starting word, giving players a fresh challenge each day. Once you've finished, you can share an emoji-style result showing your path and score.
Poople is quick to understand but can make you stare at four letters for surprisingly long periods. Its daily format, simple rules, and deliberately silly target make it an easy puzzle to come back to.
